Who We Are
Liberty Resources, Inc. (LRI) is a Center for Independent Living (CIL) that helps people with disabilities live independently and take part in their communities. We provide services in Philadelphia, Montgomery, Chester, and Delaware Counties.
Our services are provided by people with disabilities for people with disabilities. We believe in the power of lived experience, and our staff understands the challenges and opportunities that come with living independently.

What Services We Provide
As a Center for Independent Living, we offer six main services to help people with disabilities live independently in the community:
Nursing Home Transition
We help people transition out of nursing homes and back into the community with the support they need to live independently.
Youth Transition
We help young adults, both in and out of school, set goals for independence through group discussions and skills training.
Advocacy
We work with people to advocate for their rights and fight for equal access in their communities.
IL Skills Training
We help people develop skills to live independently, like budgeting, cooking, and using public transportation.
Peer Support
We provide one-on-one and group peer support, where people with disabilities help each other navigate challenges and share experiences.
Information and Referral
We offer information to connect people with services and resources they need to thrive independently.

Housing Counseling
Our Housing Counselors help low and moderate-income residents with a range of services. We provide guidance on finding affordable housing, understanding your rights, and navigating housing programs. Our goal is to support you in securing and maintaining safe, stable housing.

Retreads
Our Retreads program provides essential assistive technology through refurbished equipment. We collect, repair, and distribute mobility devices like wheelchairs, walkers, and other equipment to help people with disabilities maintain their independence.
