Mapping for Accessibility

What: Participants will meet at JFCS at 2pm for an opening presentation. You will then be given a map of a small area of Lower Merion where you will go and identify the accessibility of local stores and restaurants and record that information in a smartphone app called “Access Earth.” Access Earth is a new mobile and online website aiming to become the world’s leading provider
of accessible venue information. At 3:30pm, participants will return to JFCS for a light snack and to enjoy an exhibit of art focusing on disability awareness.

Who: This event is hosted by Jewish Learning Venture’s “Whole Community Inclusion,” JFCS of Greater Philadelphia and the Jewish Special Needs/Disability Inclusion Consortium of Greater Philadelphia.

All community members are invited to join us. This is a great event for youth groups, inclusion committees, individuals and groups of friends!
